These projects reflect how I use collaboration and research to refine teaching practice and design stronger language learning experiences.

ELC Mongolia project

I collaborated on a Mongolia-focused project where we designed English teaching materials and lesson plans for missionary teachers serving in Mongolia. The goal of this project was to support teachers who may not have formal training in language teaching by providing clear, practical, and easy-to-use lessons. The materials focused on communicative activities, simple instructions, and real-life language use to help learners develop basic English skills in an engaging and supportive environment.

Corrective Feedback in ESL Classrooms: A Study of Native and Non-Native English-Speaking Teachers

For this research, I studied how native and non-native English-speaking teachers give corrective feedback and how it affects students. I observed classes in Mongolia and also collected data through surveys and interviews with students. I focused on how teachers correct mistakes and how students feel about different feedback styles.

This project helped me understand the importance of balancing fluency and accuracy and how teachers can adjust their feedback based on student needs.
